Dis-Chem Pharmacies in The Local Choice has an opportunity available for a Finance Clerk. Responsible for clerical and administrative support in order to optimise financial department workflow
procedures in the office. Assist TLC Finance Officer including management by supporting them with planning
and distributing information, capturing of financial data and provide input in financial department. Be point of
reference for all first line financial and account queries, requests or issues and will be an integral part of the
company’s workforce
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- 1 - 2 years in the financial field
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver service coordination and administrative support.
- Setting up appointments and organizing meetings.
- Compile and prepare relevant document as assigned.
- Handling of queries and related documentation.
- Assist the TLC Financial Officer in building and maintaining good relationships with third party financial
institutions and stakeholders - Handle communication on behalf of the TLC Financial Officer as per standard operating procedures.
- Screen phone calls, enquiries, request and handle them in a polite manner.
- Handle communication as per standard operating procedures
- Provide clear and informed feedback to staff members when asked about related matters or redirect
accordingly - Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all circumstances.
- Gather information on financial plans, budgets, forecasts and cashflows, in order for the TLC Finance Officer to compile the information into a workable format
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of all transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Communicate financial information and prepare and present financial reports to the TLC Finance Officer.
- Maintain petty cash successfully and ensure that the petty cash balances every month.
- Assist in monthly franchise billing to ensure accurate billing to all franchisees and assist with a queries regarding franchise billing
- Assist and manage all account applications between TLC and CJ Distribution and assist with queries where necessary
- Manage invoicing of various accounts receivable and payable.
- Assist with all third-party vendor applications.
- Manage overtime claims submitted by Head Office staff.

- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations

Basic financial knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance standards applicable to the pharmacy sector. Knowledge and understanding of basic financial principles. - Cognitive Skills
Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential financial information and adhering to regulatory requirements - Business Acumen
Capability to evaluate financial information critically, assessing the implications of data on overall business operations, and the cognitive understanding of financial components and skills - Communication Skills

Attend to all tasks diligently to ensure attention to detail and quality in finishing tasks. - Self-Management Skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Skill in creating and maintaining project schedules - Technical skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft (excel, word, PowerPoint); Basic knowledge of accounting software

- MIE, no criminal record and clear credit rating
- Driver’s license and own reliable transport
