Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Midrand has an opportunity available for a Biogen Junior Events Coordinator to join the Head Office team. To support the end-to-end events process through coordination, administration, and on-site execution of Biogen brand-sponsored sporting, health, and fitness events. The role ensures professional event delivery, effective logistics support, accurate reporting, and positive brand representation while developing capability within the events function.

Essential:
- Matric or an equivalent Senior Certificate.
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Events Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in events coordination, promotions, brand activations, or marketing support.
- Experience within a retail, health, wellness, or FMCG environment.
Events Planning Coordination:
- Assist with planning and coordinating logistics, setup, and communication for Biogen-sponsored events, activations, and expos.
- Support the coordination of deliveries, equipment, stock, and promotional materials for events.
- Liaise with promoters, suppliers, venues, and internal stakeholders to ensure event readiness.
- Assist with physical setup, coordination, and breakdown at events.
- Support the execution of events to ensure they are activated professionally and aligned to brand standards.
- Assist with attendance tracking, stock usage, and cost recording per event.
- Support post-event evaluation, including data capture and reporting.
- Assist with administration and communication related to all events.
- Support Marketing and Events leadership with event feedback and reporting.
- Assist with staff orders, internal requests, and event-related administrative tasks.
- Support the maintenance of positive relationships with event owners, promoters, and internal stakeholders.
- Work with Sales, Marketing, and Promotions teams to support event-related opportunities.
- Assist with facilitating content support in collaboration with marketing or digital agencies when required.
- Support the Events Team Leader with day-to-day operational and coordination tasks.
- Assist with managing and maintaining activation equipment, including reporting on condition and usage.
- Provide operational support during peak event periods, including weekends and travel where required.
General:

- Basic understanding of event coordination, promotions, and brand activations within a retail or consumer environment.
- Ability to analyse information, follow plans, and resolve operational challenges effectively.
- Demonstrates awareness of brand representation, customer engagement, and execution excellence.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Reliable team player who works well independently and collaboratively. Displays strong customer service orientation.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in event execution and administration.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and remain organised in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate and able to operate a smartphone and standard office systems.
- Occasional traveling.
