Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Midrand has an opportunity available for an ESG Analyst to join the team. The purpose of this role is to research and analyse ESG data to identify ESG risks and opportunities to inform that ESG tragedies.
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:
- Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate
- Degree in Environmental Science / Social Science Management / Project Management or related field
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in ESG or sustainable development related field.
- Experience in developing and implementing ESG metrics and data analytics
Job Specification…
ESG Analysis and Reporting:- Establish and implement ESG data management framework
- Analyse data to inform and support ESG materiality assessment process including peer benchmarking
- Identify key ESG risks and opportunities that can impact ESG performance, reputation and operations
- Conduct monitoring and measurements of ESG performance indicators and reporting
- Conduct due-diligent studies and ESG performance evaluation of suppliers within the value chain
- Assess and maintain the ESG Materiality Matrix
- Assess the ESG rating from rating agencies to determine the gaps and implement appropriate controls to support ESG strategy
- Support the development of the ESG risk framework
- Plan for and coordinate non-financial assurance process
- Support in the preparation of ESG-related Board and Committee materials and reports, as well as support the communications narrative and content for the Group’s ESG activities
- Support ESG disclosures and reporting
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor ESG regulatory and standards developments and implement initiatives to ensure compliance
- Conduct an in-depth research and data analysis to assess the ESG performance, peer and industry benchmarking
Stakeholder Liaison:
- Collaborate with the internal and external stakeholders to inform the development and implementation of the ESG strategies and policies
General:
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
Competencies
Essential:
- Strong knowledge of ESG data management.
- Critical thinking, capacity to evaluate complex information, identify patterns and draw meaningful conclusions
- Understanding business operations and communicating - various levels and departments within the organisation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex ESG concepts and findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Builds constructive working relationships characterised by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of ESG Analysis
- Strong project management and organisational skills to meet reporting deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project), ESG Frameworks and standards, Data visualisation tools
