Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for Senior Operational Support at our Head Office in Midrand. To provide day to day operation support to all supply chain stakeholders by ensuring effective and efficient Extended Management Warehouse (EWM) system performance across the business.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
- Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Project Management, Transportation, Logistics, Retail
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Advantage:
- SAP Certification
- Experience in EWM or ERP Systems
Job Specification
Supply Chain Operational Support:- Lead day to day facilitation and coordination of the Operational Support department.
- Develop and design operating reports to support monitoring and performance tracking of ongoing operations and success of new initiatives.
- Monitor and ensure smooth integration between all relevant supply chain systems.
- Provide support to the development and implementation of new operational systems in Supply Chain.
- Create Business Requirement Documents (BRD) to improve or enhance business processes and reporting within the Supply Chain.
- Propose the optimal implementation date and prepare the business project requirements, project scope, and solicit approval.
- Analyse trends visible within the supply chain operations, and suggest improvements to the system or business processes.
- Maintain, change and support all relevant master data that drives all relevant supply chain systems.
- Monitor and investigate system performance, communication and Data integrity between SAP EWM and SAP ERP systems.
- Monitor the Creation and maintenance of user licenses across all supply chain systems.
- Deliver overall project outputs including managing all aspects of the defined project within defined time lines, from design through to post-go-live support.
- Compile any ad-hoc reports for senior management as requested.
- Stakeholder Liaison:
- Build relationships and work closely with stakeholders across the Group to be well positioned to identify future opportunities for operational process improvements within the business.
- Engage with stakeholders within the business regarding operational and technical matters to ensure efficiency.
- Highlight potential value in operational support department and articulate recommendations to best deliver business goals.
- Assess and supervise the Junior Operational Support team to continually improve processes and outcomes.
- Promote a robust culture of accountability, innovation, and performance management across the Team, whilst modelling the company’s values.
- Assist in setting objectives for the team and tracking progress.
- Assist in facilitating the creation of accountable, full-service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.

- Knowledge of Supply chain and Warehouse processes and Project Management.
