Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a UX & UI Designer in Midrand. To provide support to  UI&UX Designer in the creation of high-quality, functional and visually appealing user experiences for our digital platforms.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • 2-5 years’ experience as a UX/UI designer.
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Interaction Design Information Design IT

Advantageous:

  • At least 2 years' worth of experience using design software such as Figma, Sketch, In Vision

Job Specification:


  • Ensure consistency in designs and content across all company platforms
  • Design inline with various CI’s
  • Research and present new design trends for our Digital Platforms
  • Create quick animations for Social Media Platforms (gifs, short videos
Email Marketing:
  • Design & update email templates and wireframes.
  • Building the email in HTML & CSS.
  • Create & manage master database, targeting queries and feeding lists.
  • Create trackable links for the emailer.
  • Send tests & make sure email works on all digital platforms.
  • Scheduling & managing email sends.
Web Design:
  • Design visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
  • Incorporating functionalities and features into websites
  • Design landing page and build with HTML & CSS.
  • Research in best practises and web trends.

Customer Service:

  • Respond to emails in a professional tone as well as answer phone messages from both their clients and suppliers in 24 hours or less.
  • Source best practice and latest trends in digital design.
  • Update the Traffic Coordinator daily on job statuses.

General:
  • Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
