Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Longmeadow has an opportunity available for a DC Inventory Junior Manager (Day Shift) to join the team.

Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 2 Years relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment
- Relevant experience in the field of Logistics/Supply Chain Management
- Experience in the Retail/Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Experience with SAP, EWM or other ERP systems
Responsibilities:
- Manage and interpret inventory related
- To adequately prepare for the annual stock take and to meet auditory
- Analyze and interpret all potential departmental shrinkage indicators and act
- Plan the layout of a multiple supplier stock storage systems and ensure stock and bin
- Maintain a stock rotation on an inventory based on FEFO (First Expiry First Out)
- Work with suppliers, replenishment buyers and merchants to address inventory issues in a timely and cost-effective
- Maintain and analyses reports to indicate progress on key performance
- Set up continuous processes to eliminate recurring short falls and organization
- Manage shelf life to ensure no short dated and/or expired stock is dispatched to customers.
- Achieve and maintain acceptable adjustment
- Ensure optimal planning and forecasting of department resources and capacity to meet the day-to-day strategic
- Anticipate issues and opportunities and act on them pro-actively – be solution
- Develop and Implement solutions for addressing seasonal demand, shipments and/or unique packaging
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, and identifying solutions and take corrective
- Ensure all managers and supervisors in department manage their staff
- Ensure training of new staff in that they have the necessary tools and equipment required to perform their duties

Competencies/skills required:
- Knowledge of Management Systems, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Emergency process, Public Safety and Security
- Knowledge of Customer Service, Transportation Principles and Methods, Production and Processing, Material Handling Standards, Administration and Management
- Have knowledge of the business measures and targets, directly related to own
- Thorough theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of all Distribution Centre, logistics and supply chain operations
- Knowledge of relevant Labour Relations Acts, industry standards and training objectives
- Have knowledge of the business measures and targets, directly related to own role
- Proactively communicates in order to build co-operative relationships with internal customers
