Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Longmeadow has an opportunity available for a DC Dispatch Shunter (Night Shift) to join the team.
Experience & Qualification:
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 1 Year relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.
Responsibilities:
- The employee will be required to perform as is instructed by their supervisors and management.
- Employee will be required to move pallets from staging to wrapping stations. From wrapping stations to required dispatch bay.
- In addition, the employee will be required to arrange the pallets in order to ensure the loading is done in detailed sequence.
- The employee will be required to help load the pallets into the required truck as instructed by Dispatch Controller, Supervisor and Manager. Employee will move pallets as per instruction given.
- Confirm all packing away according to Dis-Chem standard operating procedures.
Knowledge required:
- Previous experience and understanding of physical dispatch process.

- English – Read, write and speak.
- Problem solving, planning and organizing skills
- Accountability and Honest
- Proactively communicates in order to build co-operative relationships with internal customers
- Ability to work under pressure
- Be able to identify operational obstacles and opportunities and remain calm and focused under pressure
- 2nd Language – Read, write and speak well
Special conditions of employment:
