Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Longmeadow has an opportunity available for a DC Outbound Assistant Manager (Night Shift) to join the team.

Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric/Senior Certificate
- Transport Management or Supply-Chain / Logistics Degree or Diploma
- Minimum 3 Years Management experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.
- Computer Packages – Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal planning and forecasting of department resources to meet the day-to-day strategic objectives.
- Ensure that the system is monitored, cleaned up by using the management tools, available on SAP EWM.
- Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximise operational efficiencies.
- Ensure that all resources, including electronic equipment and materials handling equipment is maintained and in safe operating conditions.
- Manage shelf life to ensure no short dated and/or expired stock is dispatch to customers.
- Ensure that resources and queues are monitored and optimised as per operational requirements.
- Ensure effective management and adherence to GWP, SHE program and OHS act.
- Prevent and act on security or risk issues and ensure that risks are dealt with proactively.
- Identify supplier issues that impact required financial objectives and address them at the appropriate level
- internally and externally.
