Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Longmeadow has an opportunity available for a DC Outbound Assistant Manager (Night Shift) to join the team. 

Experience & Qualification:
Essential:
  • Grade 12 / Matric/Senior Certificate
  • Transport Management or Supply-Chain / Logistics Degree or Diploma
  • Minimum 3 Years Management experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.
  • Computer Packages – Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure optimal planning and forecasting of department resources to meet the day-to-day strategic objectives.
  • Ensure that the system is monitored, cleaned up by using the management tools, available on SAP EWM.
  • Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximise operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure that all resources, including electronic equipment and materials handling equipment is maintained and in safe operating conditions.
  • Manage shelf life to ensure no short dated and/or expired stock is dispatch to customers.
  • Ensure that resources and queues are monitored and optimised as per operational requirements.
  • Ensure effective management and adherence to GWP, SHE program and OHS act.
  • Prevent and act on security or risk issues and ensure that risks are dealt with proactively.
  • Identify supplier issues that impact required financial objectives and address them at the appropriate level
  • internally and externally.
