Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ warehouse in Gqeberha has an opportunity available for a DC Scanner Room Operator to join the team. The purpose of this role is to be Responsible for the general control of the Scanner Store Room while maintaining it in a neat and organised manner. Responsible for the accurate booking out of scanning hardware equipment. Receive new equipment into the system as per Dis-Chem standard operating policies and procedures and ensure that all deliveries are checked and verified for accuracy.


Minimum Requirements…
Essential:

  • Grade 12 or Senior Certificate

Job Specification…

  • Keep accurate record of all equipment (including pass out/ lanyard) in the Scanner room
  • Actively investigate and be aware of equipment damages and discrepancies and act accordingly
  • Do regular equipment counts as per Dis-Chem scanner standard operating procedures
  • Report missing/ damaged equipment to relevant manager immediately
  • Ensure accurate filing related to scanner stock in a logical and easily accessible manner
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed when booking equipment in or out of the scanner room
  • Ensure excellent internal customer service experiences for all staff members to assist with the overall productivity of the companies employees
  • Give Regular feedback to management regarding all equipment matters

Competencies
Essential:

  • Knowledge of Distribution Centre, logistics and supply chain operations. Have knowledge of the business measures and targets,directly related to own role. Have knowledge and understand consequential impacts of decisions made. – i.e. Good judgement
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the necessary leadership principles, values, principles of behaviour and leads by example
  • English – Read, write and speak well
  • Be self-motivated and be deadline driven

  • Be able to adapt to working hours according to business needs
  • Be able to work any shift i.e. day, night, weekends, holidays and overtime as per business and operational requirements
  • Must be willing to be rotated to where needed and must be willing to perform any other functions within the department, should the need arise
